Moving a Dreamweaver site from one computer to another?

I've built a Dreamweaver site using a template to house the content on this PC, but could not update the client's site remotely and would always have to take the site with me to their offices to upload. If I make a change to the template on this PC it changes throughout the website, but if I try to do the same with a copied version of the site there, it won't update. Can anyone please help me fix this?
