Anybody have a child on the autism spectrum?

apart from life been pretty tough in general, I feel my sons father has this very same condition. He has pretty much no relationship with his son. He tells him alot to "go away" and "shut up" daily. He slaps him for every behaviour disturbance. And his motto is if he kicks and bites me i will kick and bite him back. I feel he has no understanding of this condition at all. He annoys our son all the time doing things that annoy him and get him really royled up and angry then when the boy has hit his tolerance level he will lash out or scream than his father will slap him. H e has no patience and uses language around him directed at him. We have alot of arguments. personally i dont no how i have got through the past few years. has anybody in a similar situation or be it not got some advice please?
