How do i get my left ear to not feel awkward?

a day or two ago one of my friends shot a watergun(the pump kind) straight into my ear, and now anytime i talk/drink/itch my head/or do anything remotely involving my head shaking, it goes deaf for a couple moments. it got a little tiny bit better, but i would like to know why its doing this. (i saw a doctor, we found a slight case of ear infection which is supposed to get well in the next couple days, but it apparently has nothing to do with my ear going dull when i do stuff).
