Im wondering if ACT will let me retake a certain portion of the test because there was a disturbance?
Ok, so I took the ACT this morning and while we started the reading test, a group of kids also taking the ACT got let out for their 10 minutes break. These kids stood in the hallway by our door screaming and talking so loudly that I could hear all of them perfecftly. This completely ruined my concentration and hugely affected my reading test. I usually finish the reading with about a minute to spare but because of the oud kids, i could not even make it to the fourth passage. The proctor went out into the hall to ask them to be quiet but they did not listen and continued to be very loud. They stayed this way for about 6 minutes and they completely ruined my reading score. I usually do very well on the reading and got a 29 on it the first time, and i do not think that it is fair that my score is going to be horrible because of this disturbance. The proctor afterwards filed an irregularity report and I plan on calling and writing to them but I don't know if they will let me just retake the reading portion. They might make me take the whole thing over and that is not fair to me at all.. If anyone has any suggestions to help me out here please answer. This situation is really upsetting especially because I wasnt planning on retaking it after this and i worked so hard studying for the reading.
